Feathery Eyebrow Look; The New Eyebrow Styles in Town

Arguably, the eyes form the first site of attraction on anyone’s face. On a more specific edge, the eyebrows. How you do your eyebrows contain so much power on your look as it can make or break it. They frame, give definitions, and shape your face. Also, eyebrows are an essential factor to determine if one put in an effort in their look. In all honesty, nothing quite defines an era in the makeup world as brow trends and 2022 is not in any case different.

High definition and crisp eyebrows? You’re in the early ’00s. Very thin and overly plucked? You are looking at the ’90s. This really makes you wonder if we will look back at the currently trending laminated eyebrows in the near future and be like “What the actual hell?”

Looking back, the eyebrow trends have evolved from a very ‘fake’look to as natural as they can get. This evolution has in equal amount been influenced by the trendy no makeup- makeup looks. Therefore, in today’s blog, we will keep you up to date with the new eyebrow trends that you should jump on as soon as possible.

The Straight Brows

We will start off with the least suspected. Have you ever paid attention to some people’s brows and realized they end in the same direction they started? Let me ease this up for you. A fuller eyebrow look with minimal arch and a tail that suddenly thins up dropping at the end in a subtle manner. In most cases, the arch barely exists creating a snatched look for a foxy eye look. This trend has gained so much popularity and if you’re keen enough, it is likely to survive through the next era of eyebrow trends.

The Fluffy Look

This look mostly applies to those with thick or love the illusion of thick brows. It is the less defined voluminous thick and brushed up look. It involves the use of eyebrow gel to thinly fill in your eyebrows to create an illusion of fluffy and voluminous brows. It also involves using a spoolie to blend in the pencil colour with your natural brows to form a more natural look.

Feathery Look

This eyebrow look and be achieved by lamination or using an eyebrow wax. Lamination involves using some sort of ‘relaxer’ designed specifically for your brows for easy manipulation. Lamination works especially for those with kinky eyebrow hairs. In the same context, this look can be achieved using an eyebrow wax to make the eyebrows lie down flat then small and light lines are carved into the brows creating a feathery finish. This is the most popular brow trend at the moment as it is minimalistic, simplified, and has nothing exaggerated to it. It create a clean girl aesthetics that is really pleasing to look at. It entails following a natural blow shape with only slight enhancements.

Coloured Brows

Coloured brows have grown into the next new aesthetics. We have seen celebrities like Doja Cat rocking not only the coloured eyebrows but also over-plucked brows of the ’90s. Also, creatives are growing fond of the coloured brows look as it spits unique and ‘why not’ type of vibe. Sometimes it is good to break rules, I mean, who said you cannot wear red eyebrows? No one eeh? I figured. Anyway, this look involves first outlining your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil. Using an eyebrow marker of the colour of your choice, go on top of the outline clearly and neatly. Wait for the marker to dry off then wipe of the pencil outline leaving the coloured eyebrow look.

Eyebrow gel

As for what is needed to achieve all these looks a tinted or clear eyebrow gel from Fleurdneem would be an affordable means to start off. Shop here.
